I love making these tassel keychains. They are so cute and can be made with any combination of colors.
Cut the name out of the vinyl using your cricut machine. I used chalkboard fonts- condensed for the name.
Weed the name and transfer it onto the blank keychain.
Using the Jump ring attach the lobster clasp keychain to the blank keychain.
Cut out a piece of cardboard that is 8 by 2 inches long. Then fold it lengthwise in half. Next insert a piece of the thread, about 12 inches long, between the folded piece of cardboard. Finally wrap the thread around the cardboard piece until you are satisfied with the thickness.
After you are satisfied with the thickness of your tassel simply pull the piece of thread up from the middle of the cardboard piece and tie it around the tassel. Then carefully push the tassel off the cardboard.
Cut out a piece of thread that is about 12 inches long, stretch it out on the table in front of you. Lie the tassel on top of it. Then tie the thread around the top portion of the tassel.
Cut the bottom part of the tassel so that the pieces of thread now end.
Open a gold jump ring and close it over the top of the tassel. Then take another jump ring and attach it to the first ring and to the lobster clasp keychain.
Your keychain is now done! Use it to keep track of your keys or make a few more and use them as party favors or gifts. Leave a comment below saying which keychain is your favorite.
